Informationen
"Bohemian" is a term which originally referred to people native to Bohemia. It later became a word used to describe a non-traditional, unorthodox lifestyle. Those taking the road less traveled. Or perhaps no road at all. Quite fitting to Mosaïque, don't you think?
On Tuesday, February 7th, we take an unconventional look at the music of Bohemian composer Antonín Dvořák. From his Gypsy Songs to the glorious Piano Quintet in A major, we'll hear performances by soprano Sarah Marie Kramer, violinists Maighréad McCrann and Aileen Dullaghan, violist Raphael Handschuh, cellist Julia Schreyvogel and pianist Deirdre Brenner. Actress Patricia Aulitzky joins Mosaïque for the first time as well, adding yet another layer of zest with texts from some of the iconic bohemian writers of the last century.
Doors open at 6:30pm and the concert starts at 7:30pm. For those who often come straight from work, the new team in the kitchen at Brick-5 has promised to offer something delicious to feed your starving bellies. As we don't yet know exactly what that will be, expect the unexpected!
